Nick Wood has been a freelance director for over 10 years specialising in comedy. He trained in the theatre and then joined the BBC where he became a staff director in the comedy department. He has worked on many varied types of projects across all BBC channels as well as for ITV and Channel 4.
He is a popular choice with on screen talent and production teams who appreciate his relaxed and professional approach to the production process.
Nick has worked with many top comedy actors including Jim Broadbent,Dylan Moran ,George Cole,Caroline Quentin and French and Saunders to name but a few.
Nick has also directed childrens comedy and won a Bafta for his work on the comedy drama
The Revenge Files Of Alistair Fury. He has directed five seasons of the popular Twenty something sitcom 2 Pints Of Lager And A Packet of Crisps for BBC 3, the highlight being an episode transmitted live from BBC TV Centre.
Nick is experienced in both Multi and Single camera shoots.
